Hundreds of handmade angels hidden across Wakefield
Hundreds of handmade angels have been hidden across the south of the city, as part of an effort to spread joy through the festive season.
More than 1,100 of the angels have appeared in the south of the city in recent weeks, created and distributed by a team of 50 volunteers from Sandal Methodist Church.
Reverend Rob Cotton said: “We’re getting some great feedback from the angels, especially on social media. Children are loving them.
“We’ve had a couple of really quite moving responses.
“Someone said her mum recently gained her angel wings and we brought an angel in her memory.”
