A new Facebook group 'Help The Isolated Covid-19' launched yesterday and has already attracted more than 400 members offering to collect groceries, complete errands and even just have a chat with those who feel isolated.
Kirsty Glaister and fiance Daniel Annakin set up the group after realising there is a large number of vulnerable and elderly in Ossett where they live.

"There are so many elderly and vulnerable people, so if self isolation does come into action for them they would struggle and could feel isolated."
And the Ossett couple said they are shocked by the community's generosity and said it's so overwhelming that so many people have chosen to take part.
"It is about getting the younger generations to realise there are people outside their phone.

"We just wanted to help as isolation can be hard for some people, we want people to be nice and considerate of others."
