Travellers set up camp on Hell Lane
A group of travellers have set up camp on Heath Common.
The Express understands they arrived for a funeral on Friday but moved to the top of the common, close to the Horse and Groom pub and people’s homes, sometime on Tuesday.
Wakefield Councils Service Director for Environment and Streetscene Glynn Humphries said: “A group of travellers were seen at Hell Lane, Heath yesterday, and we are currently working together with partners to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.”
