The Rockwood Harriers Branch of the Pony Club is holding an information evening on Wednesday.

People interested in finding out more about the branch and what benefits they provide to riders are invited to attend.

District commissioner Claire Marsden said: “We are part of a world-wide teaching organisation dedicated to encouraging young people to ride.

“And they can learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with ponies and horses from mounted games to jumping, dressage and so much more.”

The branch can help riders to improve, prepare for efficiency tests and badges. Members can also compete in local and national events as well as attending summer camps and rallies.

The information evening takes place at The Grange, on Briestfield Road, Grange Moor, WF4 4DX, on Wednesday, January 21 at 6.30pm.
