Vets in Wakefield and Dewsbury hold remote video consultations to reassure pet owners

Paragon Veterinary Referrals, in Wakefield and its sister practice Calder Vets, in Dewsbury, have introduced video consultations in a bid to reassure pet owners during the Coronavirus crisis, after aligning with Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) guidelines to see only urgent and emergency cases at the practices.
The video consultations will allow the vets to give general advice and updates on treatment for pets already in their care.

Hide AdThe process will involve clients calling practice reception as usual in the first instance, to arrange a call with vets to establish whether a video consultation is appropriate.
If it is, the practices will then liaise with clients to organise a suitable date and time, email confirmation and guidance on set-up ahead of appointments.
