There were some impressive sights as comic book creations joined together for this year’s Castleford Comic Con.
The annual convention of geeky delights included everything from Harry Potter to Spiderman.
The ‘Jurassic Loo’ photo opportunity featuring a T-Rex and a toilet was a big hit, as were the 10 virtual reality booths.
A meet and greet with Groot from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was also popular.
Super Heroes Cosplay brought along an Aliens display with life size egg and Facehuggers, and a group of professional costumed characters including Batman and Iron Patriot, and there was also a public cosplay competition on the main stage.
Actor Martin Ballantyne, who was in the Dark Knight and two Harry Potter films, was there to sign autographs, and there were stalls selling merchandise including art prints, books, toys and collectables.
Natalie Gosney, from convention organisers Savage Beast Events, said: “We’ve had some very positive feedback from people who attended.
“The lower ground floor was a cool spot in the building with its ice cave and dragon, and many people enjoyed posing there for selfies.
“Quite a few children had their faces painted as pretty butterflies, reflecting the glorious summer day.”
