A MUM and her daughter returned home to find two men in their home.
They went back to their home on Cock Lane, Crofton, at 3pm on Thursday and found one of the men in the kitchen and the other in the living room.
The men had broken in after removing a pane of glass from a window.
Both of the men then escaped through the window but one came back to collect his baseball cap.
The daughter then chased one of the intruders onto Parkway but she was threatened.
Acting DI Mark Catney of Wakefield CID said: “It is very unusual to find a burglar in your home.
“If you do, the best thing is to leave the property and immediately call the police on 999.”
The first intruder was in his late 20s or early 30s, he was about 5ft 8 ins tall, and overweight.
He had dark hair, dark eyes and was wearing a blue fleece.
He was also wearing a black baseball cap and spoke with a Yorkshire accent.
The second intruder was in his mid to late 20s, slim and had fair or ginger coloured hair.
He was wearing a camouflage top and bottoms.
Police said they left the scene in a burgundy or maroon coloured Ford car.
