Police appeal for motorists to come forward after domestic incident

Police are appealing for two motorists who may have witnessed a domestic incident in South Hiendley to come forward.

A female motorist got out of her car and waved down traffic on Brierley Road at around 11am on Monday morning.

The two motorists, believed to be a man and woman from separate vehicles, stopped to assist.

Police want them to come forward and help with their enquiries.

Detective Constable Clare Barran of Wakefield District Safeguarding Team said: “Two passing motorists stopped to help during the incident, and I would ask them to come forward.

“Equally, anyone who believes they may have witnessed the incident, or who has any information should speak to police. Enquiries are ongoing.”

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of harassment and is on police bail.
