Police are continuing to question a 14-year-old boy who was arrested yesterday on suspicion of attempted murder, after a teacher was stabbed at Dixons Kings Academy in Bradford.
Supply teacher Vincent Uzomah, 50, was stabbed in the stomach as he began a science lesson at the school yesterday morning.
The attack was witnessed by a number of his pupils and he remains in hospital today, where he continues to recover from his injuries.
His family have have requested that their privacy is respected at this time.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police would also like to ask the public and the media to refrain from speculating about the arrested person’s identity, as any attempt to identify this person via social media or otherwise may prejudice court proceedings.”
