Police hunt for sex attacker who targeted 18-year-old woman at nightclub

Police in Leeds are hunting a sex attacker who assaulted an 18-year-old woman in a city centre nightclub.

The attack took place at Pryzm on Woodhouse Lane shortly before 3am on Tuesday, February 23.

Officers received a report that an 18-year-old woman was assaulted by a man near a photo booth on the second floor of the club.

The suspect was described as white, aged in his early 20s, with dark hair in a quiff.

Detective Sergeant Rob Stabler, of Leeds District Safeguarding Unit, said: “The victim had become separated from her friends shortly after midnight and the incident occurred some time between then and when we were contacted.

“The photo booth is near to the smoking terrace and would have been a busy area of the club.

“We would like to hear from anyone who saw anything or who has any information that could assist the investigation.

“The victim is being supported by specially-trained officers and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace the suspect.”
