Police search for missing Outwood man Stephen Pollard

Police are searching for a 58-year-old man who has gone missing from his Outwood home.

Stephen Pollard was reported missing by his family on Friday, February 27.

And police are concerned for the welfare of Mr Pollard, who lives on Newton Lane.

Police found his car, a silver Mazda 6, on Monday on Balk Lane Stanley.

Mr Pollard is of medium build and around 5ft 8ins tall.

He has brown eyes, grey receding hair and was last seen wearing jeans, a T-shirt, green coat, black shoes and glasses.

Det Insp Steve Greenbank, of Wakefield CID, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Mr Pollard’s welfare as time goes by and have now recovered his car from Stanley.

“From speaking with residents we believe the car has been there since late February, and I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the car being left there or who has perhaps seen Mr Pollard in the area.

“Our enquiries remain ongoing and anyone who has information is asked to contact Wakefield CID on 101.”
