Princess canvas forms part of Trinity Walk art exhibition

A new art exhibition in Trinity Walk is capturing the eye and imagination of Wakefield shoppers.

Artist Scott Colliar, from Ossett, first worked with the centre last year when he created a large canvas to commemorate its attempt to break the world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as princesses in one place.

He presented the canvas to Trinity Walk to mark the one year anniversary of the challenge. It now forms part of Scott’s exhibition at the centre.

Scott, who also works part time at Horbury Academy as a displays assistant, said: “Along with the Trinity Walk Princess piece, I also have artwork on show from a couple of different series which both draw inspiration from love, from family and from adventure, something shoppers will hopefully be able to see and recognise as they pass by.

“I have always had a love for art and a couple of years ago when I was made redundant from my previous job I decided that it was the right time for me to pursue my dream and I’m so happy that I did.”

All of the pieces on show at Trinity Walk are available to buy. Visit www.scottcolliarart.com for more information.
