Public toilets being ‘abused’ by dog groomers

Dog owners have been using the baby change facility and disabled toilets in Wakefield Bus Station to groom their four legged friends.

A sign posted in Wakefield Bus Station has warned people against ‘abusing’ the disabled toilet and baby change unit by grooming their dogs there.

The notice, which has now been removed, was signed by the general station manager.

It read: “It has come to my attention that these facilities are being abused by some by a practise of using them for dog grooming purposes”.

It goes on to warn users that ‘such behaviour’ will be deemed as ‘anti-social behaviour’ which could mean being banned from the bus station.
