Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision on Monday January 5 in Tingley are re-appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
The incident happened at 4.10pm on the A650 at Tingley when a red and white coloured Trek Alpha racing pedal cycle was being ridden along the road in the direction of Tingley roundabout.
The bike and a black coloured Vauxhall Corsa, being driven in the same direction, collided.
As a result of the incident the cyclistDarren Schofield, 47, from Tingley was left with serious injuries which proved fatal.
Officers are appealing directly for the drivers of three vehicles to come forward.
They want to speak to the driver or passengers of a light coloured Vauxhall Corsa, a light coloured Mercedes Coupe and a Citroen Xsara (mint green or blue in colour).
Sgt Ann Drury of the Major Collision Enquiry Team (MCET), said: “This happened at a busy time of day. I would appeal to any witnesses who saw the pedal cycle or the vehicle before the collision or the collision itself who haven’t yet come forward to get in contact.
“We are particularly appealing to anyone in the above three vehicles to come forward. Were you in Tingley at that time of the day and in one of those vehicles? If so please get in contact.”
