The Ridings hosts swap event for World Book Day

The shopping centre is hosting a book swap from tomorrow (Saturday) until next week end.

It is not just for kids, The Ridings book swap hopes to help everyone to get involved in World Book Day.

To swap your book, head to either the lower mall (near the cash machine, left of the escalator) or the upper mall near Customer Services, where you will find a small library of books.

Marketing manager Sara Hassan, said: “Whether you are young and old we want everyone to join in with our book swap. Just bring along a book or two that you are happy to swap; it really is that simple. We hope that through our book swap we will encourage people to share their love of reading and celebrate World Book Day.”

The Ridings is also hosting an online competition inviting people to showcase their favourite characters from their most popular book. To enter all you need to do is share a photograph of you, a friend or a family member dressed up for World Book Day on The Ridings’ Facebook page.

The winner will be drawn at random and will win a £25 gift card for The Works.

World Book Day takes place on Thursday, March 3.
