Road shuts after water main burst in the early hours

A burst main has closed off a main street in Castleford this morning.

Engineers were called to Ferrybridge Road this morning shortly before 4.30am where water was pouring across the pavements and the road close to the junction with Healdfield Road.

The repairs could take up to six days to complete, according to Yorkshire Water.
