Members of the Holy Trinity Church congregation and Rothwell Lions are working hard to make the seventh edition the most successful yet.

The festival is at the Parish Hall on Church Street from April 8 to 9. It will feature 48 different award-winning ales from across the country. These have been carefully chosen for their diversity by the ‘draught beer expert’ Phil Thomas, who spends all year scouring the country for the best British ales that are available.

A spokeswoman said: “If the amount of work and effort they put into organising it is anything to go by, then this year’s festival should be one to be remembered, as all ale lovers will be in ‘seventh heaven’ when they taste the varied ales we have to offer this year!”

The event, which runs from 6pm to 10.30pm next Friday (April 8) and from noon to 10pm next Saturday (April 10), will also feature cider, food and music.

Tickets cost £5 and include a glass and a free half pint voucher.
