Saturday night brawl at Xscape

Five men were arrested after a number of fights erupted just before midnight at Xscape in Glass Houghton.

Police were called to reports of a fight outside licensed premises at the leisure complex.

While officers were assisting at the scene they were called to further incidents.

A police spokeswoman confirmed police and centre management decided to shut early as a result of the disturbances.

Four men aged 19, 22, 23 and 25 were arrested for affray in connection with the incidents and a 23-year-old man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly.

All five males were bailed pending further enquiries and witnesses to the incidents are asked to contact West Yorkshire Police on the non-emergency number 101.
