Severe delays on M62 after fire

A HGV and trailer caught fire on the westbound carriageway near junction 32 at Pontefract at around 7am.

One lane is closed on the exit slip road and two lanes of the motorway are closed.

A 40-mile-an-hour speed limit is in place while the lorry is removed.

Crews from Pontefract and Castleford Fire Stations attended the fire.

An investigation into the cause of the blaze is underway but firefighters believe it may have been caused by overheating brakes.
