Sharlston rugby gala was a big success
More than 200 children packed down for Sharlston Rugby and Village Gala.
Last Saturday’s event by Sharlston Rovers Juniors featured age groups from tots to the U9s. Every player gave 100 per cent and received a medal presented by Wakefield Trinity’s Danny Kirmond who gave up his time to watch the action. There were also plenty of fun activities, like soaking the coaches in the dunk tank. Committee member Michelle Potter said: “What a fantastic day, the kids have been brilliant. It’s great to see rugby families coming together.”
