THE city’s new Trinity Walk shopping centre will open on Friday, May 6 the Express can exclusively reveal.
A Pizza Express restaurant and The Entertainer toy shop are the latest of retaillers to sign up for the centre.
Max La Frenais, leasing director at project developer Sovereign Land, said more lettings would be announced shortly.
He said: “We are delighted with the progress on lettings. These latest two are significant footfall drivers and provide a really good variety to the tenant mix.”
Sainsbury’s has announced 150 jobs will be created when it moves into a bigger store, featuring a pharmacy and photo shop, in the new centre.
The current store on Ings Road will remain open until 6pm the evening before.
Store manager Paul Calvert said: “The new store will provide a much better shopping experience and we’re delighted to be part of a project that will bring fantastic opportunities for the community.”
Asda Living, Argos, H&M, New Look, Next, River Island, Peacocks, Topshop, Topman, Republic, JD, Bank, Dorothy Perkins and Burtons, Deichmann, Clintons, Costa, Bijou Brigitte, Esquires, Fragrance Shop, Carphone Warehouse, Orange, Menkind, Game and Brookfield will all run stores at Trinity Walk.
