Skinny Livings to perform awards gig

A Wakefield-based band will take centre stage at the Yorkshire Children of Achievement Awards.

Skinny Livings, which has supported the likes of Justin Beiber and Jake Bugg, will be making a special guest appearance at the awards on Saturday 23 June. The four-piece band is signed to RCA/Sony, selling out shows in the UK and Europe, and notching up millions of streams.

Band member Ryan Johnston said: “We started out in Wakefield and still play the pubs and go to local open mic nights.

“As a band this is our roots and Yorkshire means a lot to us, so naturally we are supporting the Cedar Court Hotels Yorkshire Children of Achievement Awards. It’s important that young people are given the encouragement and recognition they deserve,”
