The event raised almost £3,000 which will be split between the cathedral and Yorkshire Cancer Research and showcased some of this autumn’s looks from the Mill’s collection.

“I don’t think there is a family in the land who hasn’t been touched by cancer.

People were very generous and we are extremely grateful to all those who supported us.”

Terry Rigg, cathedral fundraiser, said: “The fashion show has now become an annual event which gives people the opportunity to raise money for two worthy causes.

“It also allows the community to use the cathedral.

“We’re now raising money for Project 2015 and the fantastic amount raised will go towards the renovation of the East End.”
