SLIDESHOW: Onesie Walk in memory of little Rowan
A sponsored ‘onesie walk’ in memory of a little girl who ‘delighted everyone she met’ took place at Pugneys last weekend.
Rowan Poole was diagnosed with the genetic neuromuscular disease, spinal muscular astrophy (SMA) type 1, when she was 10 months old, and lost her battle with it eight months later in November 2012.
Since then, her parents Sarah and Matt, of Denby Dale, have raised around £31,000 for the SMA Trust with the help of family, friends and strangers.
