SLIDESHOW: Santas spread festive cheer at charity fun run

Santas turned out in their hundreds to raise funds for Pontefract's Prince of Wales Hospice.

They were joined by snowmen, elves and other festive figures as they made their way around a 2.5km route from Halfpenny Lane into the town centre and back for the hospice’s annual Santa Dash.

The i newsletter cut through the noise

Members of Castleford Tigers also joined in and entertained the crowds at the event, which was sponsored by Haribo. More than £5,000 has been raised so far to support the hospice’s work to provide vital support for people living with life limiting illnesses and their families.
