Scarecrows stood tall in Ossett precinct on Saturday as part of an event celebrating the town’s heritage.
Entries in the Ossett Town Centre Partnership (OTCP) event included The Simpsons and Mr Potato Head.
Families enjoyed a special market on the shopping precinct and heritage activities in the town hall led by Ossett Civic Trust.
The Brickhouse Youth Club also had its own open day, showing off a restored police cell in the former police station on Prospect Road.
The events coincided with National Heritage Open Day.
And people will get another chance to exhibit their scarecrows at Building Ossett Better’s Yorkshire Food and Craft Market on Saturday, September 28.
