The Mayor of Wakefield, Councillor Kevin Barker, joined HC-One’s Snapethorpe Hall Care Home recently to celebrate the sixth annual Care Home Open Day.

Cllr Barker joined the home for afternoon drinks and sang the afternoon away with residents to local entertainer Linda Stott during the 1940s-style community celebration. He also was given a tour of the care home.

Snapethorpe Hall Home manager Teresa Taylor said: “Thank you to all who came and took part in Care Homes Open Day with us. We all had a wonderful time sitting and chatting with our neighbours, and also singing the afternoon away before enjoying afternoon tea together.”
