A SOLICITOR is in the running for a national award for her work with domestic violence victims and raising awareness of forced marriage.
Razia Jogi, solicitor and partner at Switalskis Solicitors, is one of three lawyers nationally nominated for the title Family Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year.
Ms Jogi leads a 16-strong Domestic Abuse Support Team for Switalski’s, based on Cheapside, Wakefield, and is accredited by the family law organisation, Resolution.
Michael Kennedy, partner at Switalskis, said: “Razia well deserves to reach the shortlist for the Family Law Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year and we all sincerely hope she will win the award.
“She has a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the law in her specialist area, and a huge amount of compassion, empathy and respect for the extremely vulnerable and often very frightened women she works with.
“Her commitment to her clients is outstanding.”
