Some of Wakefield’s visitor attractions closed because of high winds

Some of the district’s tourist attractions have been forced to close due to high winds.

The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is closed today, but the visitor’s centre, shop and restaurant, are open as usual.

Nostell Priory has also battened down the hatches, and the parkland, gardens and courtyard are closed because of the weather.

Pontefract Castle is closed today, as is Castleford outdoor market. Indoor markets remain open, as does Wakefield’s outdoor market.
