Start writing your entries for the Express Letters to the Editor competition and win £100

There’s a cash prize up for grabs for the winner of our Letters to the Editor competition for youngsters.

The competition, for 11 to 16-year-olds, invites students to submit 200-word letters on any subject or issue, which is of interest to them.

The best entries will be published on a special letters page next month, and readers will vote for the overall prize winner, who will receive £100.

Last year, topics covered across Express titles included everything from benefit cuts to animal cruelty, self harm, aliens and a lack of local facilties for young people.

Entries must be emailed to by Wednesday, June 4.

Please put LETTERS COMPETITION in the subject box and ensure that the name and age of the entrant are included on the letter, as well as their age and address.
