POLICE launched a second operation to stop vandals partying at Horbury Lagoons.
The operation was launched to catch people illegally pitching marquees, having parties and fishing without a licence.
And police stopped and spoke to eight people during the latest operation.
Ian Dain, Friends of Horbury Lagoons secretary, said: “We’re trying to get all of this sorted to make it a pleasant place for the people of Horbury.”
The action group are set to continue monitoring the area with the help of the authorities.
During the first operation, during Easter weekend, 14 people with stopped. Three were caught fishing without a license and one was caught fishing in a river during close season.
