Some of the cast were out in Wakefield at the weekend.

Coronation Street stars spend their weekend partying in some of the city’s well-known venues.

Jack P Shepherd - David Platt, Alan Halsall - Tyrone Dobbs, Castleford’s Colson Smith - Craig Tinker and newcomer Alexandra Mardell, who plays Emma, enjoyed time away from the cobbles at Unity Bars and Clubs in Wakefield over the weekend.

Promotions manager Ben Brown said: “It was a really successful night. Colson had messaged myself mentioning that a few of them would be out and whether it would be OK to reserve an area in both venues. Of course we were happy to have them down with us.

“They enjoyed having photos with the locals and it seemed to really excite a lot of people in the venue!

“It’s really good to see the Wakefield nightlife attracting some popular characters to the area.”

Ben said there’s a great line-up for Kooky this summer as more acts are visiting this part of Yorkshire.

“This time last year we hosted Tom Zanetti and we’re looking to follow that up with even more announcements coming very soon.”
