The Hairy Bikers visited Wakefield as part of filming for their latest BBC television programme.

Si King and Dave Myers went underground at the National Coal Mining Museum, at Overton, to see what life was like at the coal face.

The visit was filmed as part of their latest BBC 2 series called The Hairy Bikers’ Restoration Road Trip.

During the next few weeks the duo will tour the country, looking at industrial restoration projects.

The first episode was shown on Sunday evening and saw the pair take a look at the life of miners.

It is still available to watch via the BBC’s iPlayer service.
