Colourscape, a lights show with music, is set to wow the crowds at Carr Lodge Park on Sunday, June 26.

Show organiser John Faulkner said: “Colourscape will be at the tennis court end of the park. From 11am there will be regular performances of their Symphony of the Senses which includes music, dance, colour and fragrances. It’s an incredible experience for the whole family, the children will love it.

“An additional benefit of Colourscape is that it is not affected by the weather.”

There will be eight 30-minute sessions throughout the day and it is set to be busy, particularly from 1pm onwards. Mr Faulkner advises to visit the show early in the day to account for how busy the event will be.

“We are grateful to the Horbury Common Lands Trust for providing sponsorship to cover some of the cost of Colourscape, which has enabled a reduction in the entry charge in order to make it available to all.”

The show will be packed with a wide variety of stalls, a classic car display featuring 40 plus vehicles, a falconry display, majorette dance troupes, Punch and Judy shows, Horbury Victoria Band and Wakefield Whirlwind wheelchair basketball team.

A flypast by a Battle of Britain Spitfire is due at 1.50pm, but is subject to weather conditions.

All profits raised by organisers, The Rotary Club of Horbury and Ossett Phoenix, are paid into the club’s charitable trust. During the past year more than £22,000 was donated to good causes.
