Three remain on police bail and one released without charge after Batley and Sheffield ‘terror’ raids

A 40-year-old man from Sheffield has been released without charge after dawn raids across Yorkshire in a Syria-related counter-terrorism investigation.

A man and woman from Batley and another man from Sheffield remain on police bail.

They were arrested last week on suspicion of offences under the Terrorism Act and taken to a police station in West Yorkshire for questioning.

As part of the investigation, five properties in Batley, Dewsbury and Sheffield were searched.
