Tractor run raises thousands for Yorkshire Air Ambulance
A trail of tractors descended on roads around Nostell and Ackworth to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Around 70 tractors left Nostell Priory on Doncaster Road at around 10am on Sunday, April 18.
Spectators cheered on as the vehicles drove along the 29-mile scenic route.
They passed through Pontefract, Featherstone, Badsworth, Wentbridge and Little Smeaton.
The third annual tractor run was organised by the Priory Rose Vintage Group and raised £3,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Organiser Joanne Bulmer, of Sharlston, said: “It was absolutely brilliant.
“We raised more than we have done before and lots of people came out to see what was happening.
“We hope the tractor run will take place again next year and get bigger and bigger. It is for a really good cause.”
The event was also supported by Pontefract and Doncaster Young Farmers’ Club.
Mrs Bulmer thanked everyone who took part in the tractor run.
