Emergency services were called to Lime Pit Lane in Stanley at around 4.20am this morning.
West Yorkshire Police said a woman and a man, both in their 20s, had been taken to Leeds General Infirmary.
A notice was issued by police at around 5am to say the road was closed to traffic, but it has now reopened.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision is asked to contact the police via 101, quoting log number 142 of 01/03.
