Traffic back to normal after earlier accidents on M62

A Ford Transit van and a Mercedes Luton were involved in a collision on the eastbound carriageway between junction 31 at Castleford and junction 32 at Pontefract which caused a load of gym weights to be shed across the carriageway at around 6.30am.

There was also an accident westbound between junction 31 at Castleford and junction 31 at Rothwell at around 10.30am.

But both accidents have now been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
