AN arson attack stopped trains from running.

Fire fighters were called to tackle the blaze which was just 20ft from the tracks of the main Wakefield to Huddersfield line.

A temporary building on Calder Vale Road, near Horbury Junction, was set on fire by suspected arsonists at around 7.30pm last night (Thursday).

It took crews from Wakefield and Ossett two hours to bring the fire under control using jets and an aerial platform.

And trains were delayed as a precaution.
