Delays of an hour after accident on A1 between Pontefract and Doncaster
Almost 10 miles of congestion has been reported on the A1 at Pontefract this afternoon.
Highways England said they had closed one lane of the northbound carriageway after a collision.
Traffic Officers and police are on the scene of the incident between junction 39 (Barnsdale Bar) and junction 40 (Darrington).
Delays of up to an hour have been reported, with queues back to junction 38 (Skelbrooke).
