Family injured in head-on crash on Hemsworth by-pass
The male driver of a Ford Mondeo and a family of four in a Peugeot were all injured in the crash at around 10.05pm.
One person was trapped and freed from the wreckage after fire crews from South Elmsall and Featherstone attended the incident on the A628.
None of the injuries were thought to be life-threatening.

Hide AdWatch commander Alan Bagnall, of South Elmsall fire station, said both cars were badly damaged and the road was closed in both directions for about an hour.
Police said they were investigating the crash and appealed for any witnesses to call them on 101.
