Highways England said they had been called to a road traffic collision on the entry slip of the M62 eastbound at junction 29 (Lofthouse).

One lane has been closed.

Heavy traffic is also being reported on the link for the M1 south.

Traffic officers and police are on the scene.

In a tweet, Highways England said: "#M62 eastbound J29 #Lofthouse entry slip. #TrafficOfficers on scene with @WYP_RPU for a road traffic collision. Lane 1 closed which is causing congestion on the link for M1 south to M62 east J42,M1"

Meanwhile, a vehicle fire has led to long delays on the A1(M) at Darrington this afternoon.
