M1 closed after serious crash
A serious accident has closed part of the M1 motorway.
A car and a lorry collided on the northbound carriageway at around 1pm today (Tuesday).
The road is closed at junction 42, Lofthouse, with traffic being diverted around the incident via the exit and entry slip roads.
Traffic is backing up to junction 41, at the A650, Carr Gate, and drivers can expect delays in the area.
