Major M621 junction to be closed for eight weekends

A major junction off the M621 will be closed to drivers for eight weekends.

Beginning this Saturday (August 1), the exit slip road at junction 7 (Stourton) will be closed to all traffic from 6am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Highways England said the barrier work was expected to take eight weekends, and due to finish on Sunday, September 20, weather permitting.

Clearly signed diversions will be in place, and strict safeguarding measures will be in place to prevent the Covid-19.

Meanwhile, a major project is continuing on Lofthouse Interchange, at the junction of the M1 and M62, which has been closed to all traffic for more than a month.
