Ossett pensioner, 92, injured in Dewsbury smash

A 92-year-old driver suffered serious injuries in a road traffic collision in Dewsbury.

The pensioner, from Ossett, was driving his silver Rover 75 along Leeds Road, towards the M62, when it hit a parked Ford Ka.

The driver was taken to Pinderfields Hospital, in Wakefield, where he is in a serious but stable condition.

Anyone who saw the crash, which happened at about 11.15am on Thursday, or had seen the Rover before, should contact PC Andrew Barron, Western Area Roads Policing Unit, on 101.
