Overnight slip road closures on M1 motorway near Wakefield

Slip roads on the M1 motorway near Wakefield will be closed as works to upgrade the carriageway into a ‘smart motorway’ continue.

Closures include:

- The northbound exit slip at junction 40 at Ossett will be closed overnight on Friday, May 2 between 8pm and 6am.

- The southbound exit slip at junction 39 at Durkar will be closed overnight on Wednesday, April 30 between 8pm and 6am.

- The southbound entry slip at junction 39 will be closed overnight on Thursday, May 1 between 8pm and 6am.

- The southbound entry slip at junction 40 at Ossett will be closed overnight on Friday, May 2 between 8pm and 6am.

The southbound carriageway will also be closed overnight on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 between junction 40 at Ossett and junction 39 at Durkar. The closures will be in place from 10pm to 6am on both nights.

Clearly signed diversions will be in place.
