Police confirm body pulled from River Calder is missing man

Ian Hickin, 40 was last seen leaving Pinderfields Hospital on January 23.

He was found by a boat owner in the River Calder near to Thornes Lane at 5.30pm on Wednesday, March 19.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Mr Hickin lived on Duke of York Avenue, Portobello, but also had family in the South Kirkby area.

An inquest into his death was expected to open in Leeds today (Tuesday).
