Teenager remains in critical condition following serious Wakefield crash

A teenager remains in a critical condition following a collision on a Wakefield road.

Police have reissued an appeal for witnesses to the crash, which took place on Barewell Hill Hemsworth, on Saturday, August 15.

At around 12.45am, a black Peugeot 206 turned right onto the road from Robin Lane, where it collided with a grey Toyota Avensis travelling towards Barnsley Road.

A 17-year-old man, who was a passenger in the Toyota, was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Three people travelling in the Peugeot were arrested in connection with the incident and have since been released under investigation.

Road traffic officers would like to speak to the driver of a dark coloured Land Rover who may have witnessed the collision or was driving in the area at the time.
