UPDATE: M1 smash - all lanes reopened
All lanes on the M1 southbound have been reopened following a smash involving 12 vehicles.
Police were called to the motorway at 7.50am today (Thursday) after an accident between junction 38, at Woolley, and junction 37, at Dodworth.
The incident involved two vans and 10 cars.
The outside two lanes were closed, but have now been cleared.
There is still congestion back to junction 40, for the A638 at Flushdyke.
