UPDATE; Normanton smash - suspects seen running from scene

A 36-year-old man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following the incident, involving a ford focus and a hgv, which happened outside JB fabrics on Express Way just after noon.

A 30-year-old woman also suffered serious injuries. Both are from Hull and had been travelling in the car.

The road was closed in both directions to Whitwood Truck stop, until around 4.30pm.

West Yorkshire Police would like to hear from anyone who might have seen two or three people fleeing the scene from the car.
